The confusion is between different stages of information. In the information provided by your assigned remixee to cof_remix, she said (about safe stories), Nah, remix to your heart’s content. … but also said at the end (regarding stories she had done that were remixes), Unfortunately, you probably shouldn’t remix them. I sent more information in your assignment post — actual listings of stories — but left off that cautionary note at the end. (And it was cautionary, rather than proscriptive, but the results make it appear that we probably should have stuck with RemixRedux’s no-remixing-remixes rule.)
