If Ethan's in the comics do you mean? I think he's dead, with a huge wound or something in his head but still running around. I haven't been following the comics after Darla's Sire showed up.
None of the fanfic I mentioned in this post has Ethan as a character which is somewhat surprising for a story I wrote. I'm a big fan of Giles / Ethan.
