I think this might be the opposite.. :) But on a related topic, have you seen X Company? *curious* I've seen a few eps and am going to try the rest, it might be interesting to you - it's well done, too.

So I'm going to read about this book, considering it a rec. There's a lot of good reviews... there's one review upset about the extreme use (to their opinion) of animal abuse and killing. I should think it was put there on purpose, to highlight human cruelty in a mundane fashion, but then, I haven't read yet. I'm tempted to.

One brief uncomfortable question: how much of this story is About Heterosexuality? I mean, how much of it is "boy meets girl, girl thinks about boy" covered with the politics and history? Because I've been burned before by books about Topics which ended up being books about straight couples getting together and little else. Let me know? Thanks :)
