For the University of Virginia to be deliberately inflicting pain and suffering on defenseless animals in the name of medical education is inappropriate, unjustified, inhumane and archaic.

Stop Cruel, Outdated Trainings On Cats
There is no reason to use live cats in these intubation trainings. When 95% of schools have stopped doing these outdated, cruel labs, it's very simple to put the humane simulators to use to better train pediatricians to save infants' lives.
Please adopt out the remaining cats and commit to never repeat these cruel, outdated trainings now that superior alternatives exist.
