Untouchable Girls

Two cheers for the my library: it has the best videos. I'm watching a documentary, The Topp Twins: Untouchable Girls. They are lesbian yodeling twins from New Zealand. Oh, and they have a comedy act.

Listening to them sing about calf club days, bringing calves to school, and seeing pics of them growing up on the farm, I'm feeling nostalgic for a childhood I never never had (being a suburban girl myself).

This is really an adorable documentary.  *huge grin* After the farm it shows their activist days, including an amusing anecdote where a booming voice shouted out that they were not allowed to get themselves arrested because they were part of the concert to raise the bail money. It ended with the one sister's cancer, but she came through it alright. I still had a tear in my eye at the end, even if it was a happy ending.
