a new Halloween tradition

Every year I sit outside to wait for trick-or-treaters. This year I decided to burn incense as well. So I got out a charcoal round and put on some pale resinous incense. I don't know what exactly it was because I haven't used it in years and the bag isn't labeled, but it smells great and make a nice rise of smoke as people came round. A couple of people commented that they liked it including my neighbor whose daughter said it reminded her of the incense used in censers in church.

All in all it worked well. I'll have to remember to do that again next year.

It is! One woman just stood there saying how much she enjoyed the scent. I'm going to have to take the incense to a local magic / new age shop to see if they can help me figure out what it is.

Of course there is other incense I also adore. Dragon's blood smells absolutely brilliant for example.
