Want to help with get-well fic?

Some of you might not realize that pickamix is ill, really ill. She's about to undergo an intensive experimental treatment of indeterminate length and has asked for distractions. I was thinking of writing fanfic - yes, I'm willingly venturing into Spillow - and thought others might want to as well.

She has an adopt a plot bunny post which we can turn to for ideas or just write a pairing she likes. I'm going for a multi-chaptered approach so I can keep putting up stuff for her to read. Of course I thought of fic because that's what I do. Vids or graphics would also be great.

Oh, and if there is interest, I'm thinking we should start up a community to post these at, like people did for Lit Gal. Naming it should be left to someone else. All I've got is pickamix get-well fic, which seems a bit long.

I am already trying to write something for her. Hopefully I'll get an idea I can make work.

I actually have a Spike and Willow friendship ficlet that's almost finished that you can have if you like, assuming I can figure out the ending. However, fair warning; it does mention background Spuffy in a favorable manor, and given Pickamix's views on people who write Spuffy as anything other than a dysfunctional hateship, I'm not sure she'd like it.

She is looking for a distraction. Fuming over the Spuffy might help her not-focus on her treatments. On the other hand, it might raise her stress levels. I'm not sure.

Maybe put a warning and she can choose to read it or not?

I think the community should be get-well fic. Chances are that we'll be using the idea again. Might be nice to have a library partially set up.

As to the "help" part - what exactly would be required from mod there?

I'm not really sure. I'm guesstimating it would be keeping an eye on the site to make sure spammers don't get a foothold. Plus adding members if they want to join.

I regularly have trouble connecting to the Internet and so I don't want to be the only responsible person for a site.

Cool. I've been leaning toward the ficamix rather than the get-well fics site. I feel that it's more common for people to just write fics for friends without creating a site. But if you're helping then your opinion would count. Which do you prefer?
