dragonyphoenix: Blackadder looking at scraps of paper, saying "It could use a beta" (Blackadder)

On Barney Miller (side note: my Mom who worked with police officers said this was the most realistic cop show she'd ever seen) the detective Arthur Dietrich was an atheist. This was 30, 40 years ago so I don't recall the scene exactly – athough I do remember the punch line – but it went something like this:

Wojciehowicz: So, after you die, you go through the pearly gates and you're standing before God. What are you gonna say?

Dietrich shrugs and says, “Oops?”

I bet I wasn't the only person shouting "but that's Harris!" You most certainly were not. I loved recognizing him when he was on Firefly. ;-)

It was a great show.

Before I disappear into obscurity ... I want to shout, "So you're just running away?" but I'm thinking about pulling away from LJ so I don't have that right.

I don't want to lose your voice, your opinion, or your friendship. Whatever you choose to do, you take care too.
