dragonyphoenixAll categories are now in. First congrats to these amazing winners: Antennapedia, Beer Good Foamy, Dracofidius, Eurydice, Giles Candy, Il Mio Capitano, Indri, ProtoNeoRomantic, Skuzz Bopper and Witch Way, Sue World, Thea Bromine, and Wicked Fox.
And, of course, many thanks to Giles Candy and Dracofidus for all their hard work. Also, thanks to the many judges.
And last, but not least, my wins!
On This Side of Goodbye as best Giles gen fic. I'd love to take full credit for this but comments and feedback greatly improved and expanded it. GillO and pickamix stand out in this regard. And the judges' lovely words: “The judges greatly admired the inventiveness of this tale, with its highly original plot. Strong characterization and writing skills carried us through a believable, difficult tale of Giles made young, and gave us a new view of Giles, and his background. We especially enjoyed the vivid way Faith is shown in her dealings with young!Giles.”
In the Middle of a Mistake came in as Runner Up in the Best Giles Romance Fic category. I didn't think it was romancey enough to win so Yay! And the judges' kind words: “We enjoyed this creepy example of a Ripper story, exploring the start of his relationship with Ethan with originality, wit, and foreboding - not forgetting an offscreen role for the Slayer, too.”
Note: I did, just see, that it lists me as dragonydreams here.
And, yay, I wasn't the only wordy judge!
