I feel sad today, and I don't know why. But I keep expecting to feel hopeless, and I don't.

"I have to admit it's getting better, a little better all the time."

I'm sorry to hear that. Hang in there, I know that when I feel sad or depressed I usually go outside and feel the sun on my face. Something about nature helps me to remember the joy and blessing of being alive.:)

I just came back from being out in nature. Thanks!

Thank you. About two years of therapy and meditating every day (almost every day) for over a year. Took a while for the better to kick in and there's still a ways to go but it's nice to see that things are getting better.

Yeah, I actually had a nice and relaxing evening with the lights out and candles lit and incense. My roommate is out of town this evening so I was able to go for the deep relaxation. And when I got onto Taming the Muse to check the prompt, they'd used a prompt I'd given, which makes me happy.

We all have days like that. My life is basically going great, things are just working out and yet I still some days feel sad or worry unnecessarily. I think it's just what being human is all about.

You could listen to these podcasts. I really enjoyed them:

I think modern society has this weird idea about how we should all be happy all the time. And that it should be every bodies goal in life to be the most happy for as much time as possible. All this does is make people feel guilty because they can't do that.

Thanks. I'm a bit surprised that almost everyone who responded focused on the "I'm sad" part of the message because I thought I was saying "I used to feel overwhelmed and helpless when I was sad and now I don't."
