A little better all the time

I feel sad today, and I don't know why. But I keep expecting to feel hopeless, and I don't.
"I have to admit it's getting better, a little better all the time."

I think modern society has this weird idea about how we should all be happy all the time. And that it should be every bodies goal in life to be the most happy for as much time as possible. All this does is make people feel guilty because they can't do that.
