dragonyphoenix: Blackadder looking at scraps of paper, saying "It could use a beta" (Still Life Reviving)

With Advent candles, one of the variations is to start with one the first night, light two the second night, and so forth until all the candles are lit on the final night. How about for Solstice candles, light them all the first night and keep reducing them by one each night until on the winter solstice only one candle is lit and then, for each night after, light one candle more than the previous night? There would be both increasing darkness and increasing light, working with both the dark and the light.
