Heats not working in my house. The tech was scheduled to come between 3 & 6 today but he's on a massively time-consuming call. They've scheduled me for first thing tomorrow morning but now I've got to get through a night with the temps going down to 29 degrees.

I'm concerned about the pipes. I've been reading that I can leave a trickle of water or turn them off completely. Not sure which way to go.

He was originally scheduled between 3 & 6 so if it's a difficult fix, he wouldn't have done anything tonight anyway.

I'm more worried about the pipes than myself. I'm currently bubble-wrapping the windows so we'll lose less heat.

Thanks. I can use 'em! My sister's sister-in-law, who lives in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, says to leave the kitchen sink trickling water.

I actually didn't have to go there. Between two space heaters in the basement, the oven, and two pots of water boiling on the stove, I actually raised the temp three degrees, to 69. Overnight it went down to 65 which is well above having to worry about freezing pipes temps.
