better now

I was feeling forlorn after Leslie finished moving out, but then I sat down in the living room and turned my thoughts to developing a plot for a new story. I didn't come up with anything but it felt nice to sit there knowing I wouldn't be interrupted while I thought.

I expect I'll have a few more bouts of "woe is me, alone in the house!" - for example I just glanced over because I thought I saw the cat out of the corner of my eye - but I think I'll get over it more quickly than I'd expected to.
