My rating: 4 of 5 stars (https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1682858657)
I'm going to give this book 3 1/2 stars.
I appreciate that it exists and that it brought back memories from my days of reading the original 7. I liked a lot of the story and I don't want to spoil anyone. Mum's the word.
It is a script and as such, it is missing the narrative. We see the story come to life through the dialogue and a few bits of stage direction. I would have preferred a novel and I'm sure I'm not alone in that.
I would like to thank JK Rowling for Scorpius Malfoy. Of the new kids, he's my favorite.

I do like Scorpius. I also like how he changes. By the end of the book he realizes he might be good at sports and wants to give it a try. I thought that was great.
I enjoyed the plot. I kept pulling me through the story.
I've not read it yet. I've heard very mixed things about it (though some of the more negative mixed things have been said by those who didn't realise it was a script and don't have much experience reading scripts).
It's on my list of things to read come October. I'm not sure I'm going to like it, since I hated the epilogue to book 7 (and quite a bit of book 7, if I'm honest), but I'm hoping to have my mind changed. =)
I knew it was a script but don't have much experience reading them. There were a couple of places where the directions in the script got in the way of the story for me, but all in all the plot pulled me through the story.
The story focuses on Harry's relationship with his son Albus and Albus' friendship with Draco's son Scorpius. What we're shown is less detailed than the books but still gets those characters across.
And now that I've had time to think on it, I do wish we had more background on the villain. We do get enough to know who and why but it's still a little too sketchy I think.
I've heard mixed things too. Some people I really respect really disliked it, and others thought it was a treat. I'm sort of torn about whether to read it...but who am I kidding, I probably will.
