How My Love's Song Gently Cries, the first story in my Leaping in the Dark series, was runner up for the Score 2 award (scoring indicates how dark the story is) from the Darker Vault Awards 2012! There are some great authors here; give it a look. Interesting timing since I've been rewriting one of the sequels to this story: Demons With Death on Their Minds.
