I look like my mother

This is a picture of my Mom. When I first saw it, as a teen, I thought it was me. I remember asking when it was taken because I didn’t remember posing for it.

i sound like my mom and my half-sister on the phone (the half sister not biologically related to my mom who also sounds like her). it can get confusing.

Hmm, that does sound like it could be confusing. No one in my family sounds that much alike. In fact, Jackie used to have a heavy New Yorker accent. Granted, we grew up on Long Island but both my parents are from Michigan and I never picked up the accent as heavily as her.

After she'd moved to Michigan, she was helping our uncle with something that required speaking into a tape recorder, and she heard how she sounded. She got rid of the accent real quick!
