'Death panels' arrive — in COVID-stricken Republican Idaho
Love this title because "death panels" is such an attention grabbing and not quite accurate word here. It's more like triage on Mash, sort of like Idaho is a war zone where medical staff doesn't have enough resources and has to prioritize who they will save.

This kind of scenario was what all the squawking was about when the spectre of "death panels" was raised, that some unaccountable doctor or board thereof would make a decision about whether you or someone you loved lived or died. Completely apart from the fact that it was already happening at insurance companies, the rationing of care decisions being made (because politicians are deliberately trying to kill their own diehard followers, it seems) is just the thing. And it's a waste of life, because people who should have lived are dying because other people won't take basic precautions to protect themselves and others.

It was a very useful concept when I came across it during the original "death panels" attack. It helped keep everything in perspective and continued to point out the hypocrisy of attacking one thing while allowing it to happen when it's people you want to like you doing it.
