In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wish-list if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.
It's taken me a while to decide what I'd want. I'm not used to asking for things.
- I'm totally cool with anyone creating off of my fanfic. In fact, I'm pretty sure my Transformative Works Policy says something like "You want to play with my story? Do you need me to encourage you? I can totally encourage you!" It's part of the creative process, being inspired by each other, and I also feel that it's an incredible compliment. I know some people don't want others creating fanworks based on their fanfic, but I don't understand it. I'd like an explanation of the other point of view. Why would someone not want others to play with their stories?
- Comments on my fanfic are always appreciated.
- I'd love to see a fanfic about Kitty Fantastico. But no killing the cat. I want a happy story. I'm so less than thrilled with the idiot who decided that Dawn had accidentally shot him (her?) with a crossbow. You didn't have to fill that hole. The mystery of what had happened to Kitty Fantastico would have been perfectly OK with me.
